Beloved is intentionally a different way of being church.
We have no building.
Beloved gatherings are held in homes, apartment clubhouses, and parks. When we worship, we connect together with refreshments, prayer, scripture study, and communion. Singing is simple, dress is casual and the atmosphere is welcoming and joyous.
We have no creed.
We are Christians who practice interreligious teaching and engage inclusive understandings of the Sacred. Both belief and doubt are welcome.
We have no traditions.
We have spiritual practices. We regularly celebrate the Christian spiritual practice of communion with an Open Table. This means, all are welcome. And all means all. All means you!
We invite new disciples to follow Jesus through the Christian rite of Baptism. Celebration of baptism is a public expression of a personal decision. We encourage this practice be proclaimed in a way most meaningful to the individual--from simple sprinkling in your back yard to full immersion in the Pacific Ocean!
We have no Constitution & Bylaws.
We have a Ministry Table of living, breathing leaders who listen and offer guidance to the mission and ministry of Beloved.
